Learn about bear behavior and how to stay safe in bear country! We’ll teach you to how to use bear spray, what to do if you see a bear, and how to recognize bear activity in the area. This unique bear safety course will take you into the Whitehorn Wildlife Corridor, a protected area not accessible without a certified guide!

Available: June 1 to October 9, 2022 (as conditions allow).

Difficulty: Easy (elevation gain: 30 meters).

Duration: 45 minutes.

Times: On the hour from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Group Size: 2 to 12.

*Please check in for your program at least ten minutes in advance. Check-in is at the Wildlife Interpretive Centre front desk (Whitehorn Lodge), a short ten minute walk from the top of the sightseeing gondola.

Note: This hike begins at the top of the Summer Gondola and requires a valid lift ticket or pass to attend. Due to the natural grade of the mountain trails, all participants should be of moderate fitness ability. Please wear proper footwear and dress for all weather conditions.
